Sports+ has some of the most well liked sportswriters in the business, but it's audience desired more interesting visuals.
The U.S. Open was our first opportunity to help Sports+ content stand out. Working closely with Gannett's wonderful in-house teams, a library of branded photos were created exclusively for Sports+ fans. And a custom iOS Widget was designed, delivering every moment directly to the iPhone Home Screen. Fans could control the size, and placement of the widget. And decide when custom push notifications were delivered.
This also sparked an opportunity to explore how fans can personalize, and control their Newsfeed, making Sports+ even more dynamic.
